The changes are probably prorated on the first bill since they were made. Is your overall bill higher? If you're not satisfied with the new plan it can always be reversed and switched to the old one.

Even with your past experience, I would still recommend that you call into AT&T customer care (611) to get the issue figured out and resolved. If you get someone rude, simple; hang up and dial again.

Billing snafus, yes.
Idiotic company policies, yes.
Incompetent employees, yes.
Network outage, yes.
But the people on the phone are decent folks, in my experience.

It's important to remember when you call customer service, that the person answering the phone didn't cause whatever problem you are dealing with. If you are rude or cross with them, they will be a lot less patient with you.
They are people.
(Now if ATT corporate would consider us people instead of account numbers and dollar signs, that would be something.)
