After I activated my AT&T account, I came home and signed up for the AutoPay feature, which automatically deducts the amount from my bank account. After I signed up, I received an email saying it takes up to 2 months for autopay to take effect. So, the other day, I paid my bill with my debit card and the transaction went through fine. I then noticed the next day that AT&T had send me 2 emails: one from the payment I did manually and another email saying the autopay deducted the amount from my account. Now, I have paid twice the amount and I am wondering if AT&T will credit the second amount to next months bill or if I need to call customer service.

Your account should show a credit so your next bill will net against that credit. If you credit does not cover everything then you may have some small balance due. If your credit is greater than you next bill, it will continue to carry forward until it is used up.
If you need the money back, you probably could get a refund after 8 to 10 business days.
