I have an unlocked Omnia and am having e-mail problems. I recently added internet and tethering to my phone. I am able to use the internet on my phone and am even able to log in to hotmail through the phone's browser. However, I am unable to use e-mail with the phone's messaging feature which automatically alerts you when you get messages. This feature works when I am conected to my own home wireless internet but does not work through the gprs network. When I try to send/receive messages it tells me, " connot connect with current connection settings." It actually does the same thing when I try to set up gmail. Now the internet itself seems to work but it does seem a bit slower then I would have expected and there are quite a few sites that it does not load. I am not sure if this is normal for gprs or if my phone is not set up correctly or if it is not supported by the network.
Since I have an unlocked phone I have not yet tried calling 611 for help as they always seem to have a hard time answering my question for a phone they are not familiar with.
