Can anyone out there tell me why my Samsung Focus (I've had a couple months) won't charge? Today it kept saying "Battery Critically low ". I plugged it in for an hour and no change so I left it plugged in all day and still no change. I can't use it unless I sit next to the outlet??? Help!!!! it is my "house" phone now as I don't have a land line anymore. Thanks for any tips.

Prubin, thanks. It's working now. I had taken the battery out in the beginning and no change, charged it for 12 hours and no change, but now after another 10 hours charged, turn off, remove battery, waited 30 seconds and put back in when I powered up it shows a full bar again. Do you know why that happens? Can I avoid it? Especially when traveling.

Doesn't happen very often.
Battery is fully charged, but Focus shows it as "empty".
Pulling out battery "resets", for lack of a better term, readings.

Thanks for this solution prubin. I saw the same behavior on a Samsung Focus (SGH-i917). Taking out and then reinstalling the battery resolved the issue as you suggested.
Test case:
Model: SAMSUNG SGH-i917
Software: Windows Phone 7.5
OS version: 7.10.7720.68
Firmware revision number: 2103.11.8.1
Hardware revision number: 3.1.0.7
