Samsung ATIV Smart PC Digitizer Driver Failed Install

When I use the Samsung Software Update app, it lists an updated Digitizer driver and wants me to update it, but every time I try it says install failed with no real error message. Anyone else having this issue?

Just verified at the AT&T store using someones S Pen on a Galaxy Note. It does not work on this tablet. Now, I'm assuming that it doesn't work because the digitizer was not included, but who knows if AT&T just disabled it. We'll have to wait for official word. Everyone I've asked at Samsung and AT&T tech-support said that it would...just a little frustrated that I had to figure this out on my own after reinstalling, calling, and emailing people who should have known from the get-go.

someone must have screwed up here...

Even Samsung's update app thinks this model should have a digitizer (the driver that is being pushed - and fails)...

I haven't found the driver yet (trying to update Win8 now) but I can verify that the digitizer pen is not working with the AT&T Smart PC 500T. I tested the digitizer pen on a non-carrier 500T at Staples and it worked great; however, it will NOT work on my AT&T 500T tablet. The AT&T Store was nice enough to allow me to test the same pen on another new tablet in their store with no success. It's a pity because I'd hoped a simple exchange would fix this issue for me.

I have a few days to research the issue. I may decide to opt for a refund if a fix cant be found. Buyers beware however, this thing is bugged somehow.

Same here, driver fails the install.

I have a coworker that has the WiFi only version, which has the digitizer pen stored in the back lower corner of the tablet. We assume perhaps, maybe they needed more room for the 4G LTE :-(

I did try the Pogo Stylus which works... but not the same... it is not like having a more precision stylus. Ink does work with your finger touch however.
