Motorola Razr2 v9x - How to silence the 3G beep?

Every time I go out of 3G signal area (be it locker room in community pool or 3G shadow area on a rural interstate) the phone beeps (same kind of sound like battery low) which I find annoying.

Does anybody know how to turn off the noise? I do not want to turn off 3G itself.

There is a place in the settings menu where you can turn this coverage indicator off. This will not turn off your service.

Sorry, but my Motorola RAZR is not active at this time, so I can't give you the exact steps. However, you should be able to find them by looking through the manual for your phone here.

Not positive, but pretty sure this will turn the " 3G beep" off:

1. Select Settings

2. Scroll down to Network and Select it.

3. Scroll to Service Tone and Select it.

4. Scroll to Off and Select it.

5. that's it.
