Just keep at them until you get what you want whether that means the phone or your account… I am sorry to say but most likely you will have to call multiple times and suffer through much incompetence. Unfortunately, that can be said of most things I try to do now. We have more technology, but nothing is really going that well.

Just got off the phone with them and was told that YES they are on backorder and that they are awaiting stock. He said it will ship within 3-5 business days and I should have it within a week.
Now, do I believe it? No.. Because they have a history of telling people what they want to hear.

I have already called multiple times and gone to the corporate store as well, they're just incompetent. I will call monday if I don't see changes, with the holidays approaching I think I won't see my phone until after thanksgiving.

Lita, keep up on them as Sands says. I'm not positive but I believe that a bank will only hold the money as a precharge for a few days and then release it. They won't charge it until it ships(so they say), so maybe 5 days is when they realse which is what mine was.

Oh, I won't give up, lol. I have been waiting for this phone for months. I have been up for an upgrade for over a year but just kept waiting for PureView+WP, so I'm trying to be patient. They just upset me when they couldn't let me preorder last week and when they screwed up my account sunday. I even posted on facebook and the support lady there called me and gave me her direct line to ensure the phone gets activated properly and my account is right once I get it. I'm still giving them a chance, if they screw up again once I get the phone, I'll send it back and cut ties with AT&T.

It's here! It's so perfect!!! I haven't even activated, just took it out of the box and powered it on... but wanted to pass along it's exactly how I pictured, as good as I thought it would be (as I mentioned, I haven't even seen it live.)
I got this case in fuchsia to go with my magenta/fuchsia tiles I usually sport - and the phone being Yellow will just be so cute in that case! (Which is already here and waiting for its specific Yellow phone.)
I hate on forums when people go "I got mine, too bad you didn't get yours yet" or "I have no problems with mine - too bad you do."
This post isn't that - it is just to say Yellow does exist - and, to me, worth the wait. So, AT&T did get it out to me, not quite as soon as they said, but not horribly late either.
Keep up the good fight until you hold it in your hands! It truly is beautiful!!

the case I shared a link with above - is tight, it can do it, but not really well.. just didn't want to steer people in the wrong direction there. It's a Coach Universal Cell Phone case - but this is one BIG phone!

When I Bing it and look at images, the front looks exactly like the yellow in the picture - it is a tad lighter on the back... but nowhere near "light yellow" - it has that "wow" factor and is very vibrant. It would work for both male or female - it's not like some pastel yellow.

It's like tweetie bird yellow...
So it's vibrant, but all the tile colors work well along side it. The yellow makes a nice statement, but not so much so it clashes with the tiles which is why I selected yellow.

I thought I would pass this along... every time I have had to change SIMs for a new phone (which I had to this time because my old SIM is a 3G SIM which will not work for this) I have phoned in and done it with the AT&T rep and it went very fast. This time they send you an email and you hit the link and then enter in your IMEI and ICCID both numbers are supplied on the box. After I entered mine it said, "Processing" BOY am I SICK of that word! It's still processing... it can take 4 hours! and you shouldn't do anything until that process is through because it says to use your original device until activated. Once you try to activate via online you can't "go back" by calling to start over... you just have to wait it out. Also, try to active during the day because they aren't there past 7pm pacific time if you have trouble... thus if I don't activate correctly I will have to wait until tomorrow morning to have them troubleshoot why.
When you get yours try calling it in for activation - I bet they rep can get it done like they always have in the past, a couple of minutes.
Just passing along...
p.s. I got that case to work, it's leather so I just used the warmth of my hands to keep stretching it, I have just enough room!

So my SIM was bad... I had to drive it to the store and get another one. So everything is working now.
Also, just as a heads up - the phone comes with the SIM already in, but if you want for any reason to get it out there is a little device to do so... but it takes finesse, I looked up videos and it's very simple - or seems so, but I wasn't able to get it, at the AT&T store several different guys couldn't get it either... and then one dude just goes "bang" and it opened. So don't force it... it's a short (you don't insert it very deep) and firm movement straight in and it will just "pop."
Just hoping to save somebody some grief.
Now onto the fun stuff - finally.

Hope everyone's phone will arrive soon. Yes ATT made a big mess out of this pre-order but I think the phone is definitely a good choice.

I just spent all morning trying to get voicemail to work with AT&T eventually had to do a hard re-set... (just to clarify - it wasn't the phone, it was activation again.)
In any event - here are 2 very good sites for help:
The Nokia site has good people, I worked with them a lot on my Nokia N900 - they know how to flash, etc. good place to go for more tech heavy stuff.

All those posting that you received the phones, please keep in mind the purpose of this thread and those who haven't received theirs yet. If you can add your color, order date, shipment date, that would be a lot more useful. Enjoy your new Lumias!

Glad to hear people are getting theirs. Ordered mine on the 10th, still processing...
Also showing a "Replacement SIM card - iPad" which is weird because I don't have a 3G iPad....I assume it is the SIM for the phone?

yes, I called about that becasue I thought somebody had hacked my account and tried to re-order a SIM. Of course the AT&T rep knew nothing.. but some research online showed the SIM for the Lumia 920 is, for some odd reason, called that on your AT&T account online.
I know it's hard waiting, but as I said it is worth it!

I placed my order for a yellow 920 on the 13th. Knowing someone just received their phone without knowing the color or when they ordered only tells me the phone exists, which we all know is the case, no matter how long it takes AT&T to ship it. Now, if I know you ordered the same color around the same date as me and just got it shipped gives me a better indication of when I'm going to get mine. Or if you ordered a week before me and just got it, that most likely means I won't see mine for a few more days. Etcetera... No exact science, but these details definitely allow us to guesstimate better.
