I just got an email that said it shipped! I was thrilled!!... and then I thought you better wait before you start cheering since every rep has told me it's not happening and didn't know when it would. So I am very apprehensive...
Still, if this happens I will be beyond happy!!! ![]()
let us know if you receive anything that said yours has shipped - I am not forgetting about the others here that also ordered on the 7th.
Of course this doesn't excuse the manner in which I was treated when I called and wrote via email - Customer Service means you are there to serve the customer, and really, that one written response I received was demeaning and rude, that rep should be fired for that. The Customer Service Reps are the face of AT&T that we see and interact with - if that face is rude and uncaring then that is the way you will feel about the company - thus AT&T still has major work to do in regard to their customer service.

Congrats. Hope it all works out.
They can't ship what they don't have, and they can't give dates for product they don't make, so all they can do is wait for it to arrive from Nokia.

You are right, there is a lot AT&T can't do and predict - but they can do a lot more than they are especially in regard to understanding and helping their customers. I didn't expect them to make something out of nothing, but I did expect kindness, respect and understanding and I received rudeness, disrespect and a shameless lack of understanding of my issue.
This was a beef against AT&T not you - All of us who frequent forums appreciate what people like you do - the help you give makes AT&T look and work better - the same needs to be said of their customer service reps who unfortunately are a shining example of how to make things worse.
I will post if it shows Friday. I am hoping my ship notification gives others hope theirs will as well...

Maybe there's hope for me too then. I ordered around noon time (EST) on the 7th. So hopefully they'll have incoming stock to cover at least the 7th.
One thing that I dont quite understands with ATT is that somehow their customer service rep do not have any visibility at all into the supply/inventory and what/number are expected to be incoming and number to be out going. Telling your customers that you are getting daily supplies but cannot tell us a remote estimate on WHICH day to expect it to be ship out to us is crazy imo.

Just that anybody who wanted Yellow on this thread received a shipping notification is a good sign there is hope for everybody.
I have no idea why this went so badly, but if this happens all the time as was mentioned with the iPhone example, then why have they not fixed this? Don’t keep repeating the same misstep - update the system(s) so there is better communication between the front and back end. And if anything at all goes wrong, notify, apologize and say you will keep the customer informed throughout the entire process. Kindness, respect and timely notification goes a long way in helping people stay calm in a situation like this.
I pray everybody gets theirs, I really do, because the wait has been long. I bought WP7 the day it came out but unfortunately my LG didn't update to Mango right and I wasn't able to sync my email (all 5 accounts) on the device correctly. The work around I have to execute to get any email deleted off the server is beyond ridiculous. And I have been stumbling around with this for well over a year, waiting for WP8 and the right hardware - the Lumia 920 is it - it's perfect. And for me and my email syncing joke, it is long overdue…
I have already installed Windows 8 on one machine at home and think it is fantastic – I am going to clean install it on every computer in the home… WP8 is a very good fit with Windows 8 on the computer.
Stay hopeful – for if 1 Yellow shipped surely more are to come

haven't received the official email notification yet but under my acct this now being shown as shipped with a USPS tracking number. So thig might be good news and hopefully more will get ship out to others.

Yellow and think it was worth the delay as it goes with many Tile colors well.

Didn't get an email but I checked my online account again because it looks like they are starting to ship out. It has a tracking number and says it shipped. Ordered the morning of the 7th.
My wife got her white one on the 9th, USPS. It came from Ft Worth, Tx. Maybe mine will too, about 50 miles away.

Ugh... I ordered my Yellow on the 8th because I was torn on the 920 or 8X. I'm glad to see I'm not the only one with a "Still Processing" order, but very upset that I'm still waiting.

Mine is coming from Tennesse and I am in California... If anybody is wondering about the wireless charger, when I called to check why the 920 hadn't arrived yet they said No I didn't get the charger. I never did see the option during checkout (like others as this problelm has been spoken about) - and after going back and forth to try and find it I decided to just check out because I didn't want to delay the process of actually ordering the phone. I asked the rep on the phone to send me the charger and he said No - I said No - then he said he would have to cancel the order and re-order with a charging plate and I said absolutely NO. Then he caved and ordered it. It hasn't shown and there is no info on my account which he said could happen. He gave me a reference number and I will call next week to verify the status using that reference number. So it can take some work to get the wireless charger, but you can because they can verify your order date. Make sure to get the reference number.
I am glad to see more people are seeing shipping notices - hopefully everybody will be holding theirs soon (myself included.)

I have a chat transcript and an email saying that I will receive the charging plate; however, I didn't even know that it was supposed to go in the cart at the time of pre-order. I guess maybe I lucked out...-

What a score!
I did not see it on the webpage it was supposed to be on during checkout... and the rep said I did not have one coming to me. But if anybody else doesn't eventually get one, you can request it.
Of course of more importance is actually wielding our Yellow Nokia Lumia 920's for which we are all patiently waiting (yeah right.)

Interesting... I also ordered on the 7th in the AM and couldn't find the option for the charger to select. I didn't receive mine, so I called and the rep took care of it. Why some got theirs and others did not and had to call and take extra steps makes no sense whatsoever. It is/was confusing to say the least...

I just got off the phone and was told that there is a negative quantity in the system. Is this good that they are in demand or bad because very few were made?

I read Nokia was going to “control” the release and not saturate the market quickly… smart, but not if there was such demand that people who took the time to pre-order were denied the phone in a timely manner. A lot of us on this thread are receiving shipping notifications and should receive a Yellow by Friday – that is not what AT&T said in my email, but not a bad showing either. And it does appear, Yellow is the hold up.
That being said, I have no idea what a “negative quantity in the system” means..??..

My preorder the 7th was canceled for no reason (ATT couldn't figure it out).
When I called them they placed the order again on the phone on the 9th.
On the 12th that second order that the ATT representative placed for me was canceled for not reason.
Both orders had charged my car with holds.
When I called on Monday after finding my order was canceled a second time, they admitted it was there issue. They asked me to go to a store and get the phone. I told them that is not an options. Why? Cause my home and number are for Houston, TX, but I'm currently working in Minot, North Dakota and won't be back home until February. After hearing this, they told me to place the order again. If it doesn't work the third time, they will allow me to go to the store in Minot, North Dakota and get a Lumia with my Texas number (which is never possible and I don't believe will work).
After the third order was placed, the first two holds dissappeared on my card, and the third order was charged. What's weird is that my confirmation email and the charge was placed on the 12th, but the order status page shows the 13th.
ATT's webstie as usually is archaic and crippled. Essentially a device I ordered on the pre-order day early in the morning, now technically has been ordered on the 13th. Add insult to injury, my Windows Phone 7 device (HTC HD7s) finally died. I've been using my work phone which is an iPhone 4s which is so bad to use for business. I hate this phone so bad because the interface is so bad. I really want my Lumia 920 now!!!!

Wow... what a debacle! Talk about making something simple - hard. I sure hope you get exactly what you want even if it arrives a tad late (undeserved I might add since you ordered on time.) I hear ya about wanting the Lumia 920 now. I arranged to be here tomorrow when Fed Ex should arrive and I am going to plant myself on the couch and stare, eye fixed and unwavering at the font window, until they show up and give me my Yellow Lumia 920 (I will probably meet them at the truck while it sits parked in the street)...
Good luck as your story is truly one of patience and perseverance... Both are required attributes when dealing with AT&T ; )

Has anyone actually received their Yellow 920? I also preordered mine on the 9th that was suppose to ship on the 12th. I called yesterday, the 15th, and the customer service person said that it was in the warehouse just waiting to be shipped. I still havent gotten a tracking number or anything. This is really frustrating. If I would have known this I would have just gone to the store and gotten another color that was in stock. why the preorder then if you cant get what you want?

MIne landed from Tennessee to California (I checked in the middle of the night from my package tracker App on WP7.5)... It is on the Fed Ex truck and should be here by 4:30pm pacific time...
I have read comments sections on Tech Blogs and have seen people waiting for Yellow.

I also agree about being notified sooner so you if you wanted you could change the color and get one that is available now (I think, at this date, most are back ordered.)
I thoght about that, but would not have done it - Yellow is an accent type color so it makes a statement, but it also places well with other accent colors (like the tiles) whichh isn't easy to do. Yes, Black and White can do it but don't make that wow statement on their own. Yellow was what I wanted. Of course this is just my opinion - to each his own when dealing with color.

I ordered mine on Sunday and it bothers me that I know it's backordered but it doesn't say that when I check the status online. If pending means it's waiting to be shipped then why is it that people who ordered on the 9th and called 3 days later are told it's still waiting to be shipped? Either 1 they don't have them in stock and are lying, or 2 millions were sold in the first few days and they can't keep up. My guess is 1.
I would rather my status say backordered and give some sort of estimated date, than say pending and not have any change for almost a week. You can't tell me they don't know when they are getting more in, and that they can't have a system that can estimate the date of arrival.

When mine didn't show I was told flat out it was back ordered and thery didn't know when I would get mine - then I got a shipping notification. The truth is always best... I don't think they know the truth.

If I had known it was going to take so long to get the Yellow one I would have waited longer and stayed on my Gophone plan. Instead, they forced me to switch to post paid without even having my phone available yet. The only reason I'm getting back on contract is to get that phone, I don't need that many minutes or data, but there's no other choice, and it's cheaper to get on contract than buying it unlocked and staying on Gophone (already put it all on a spreadsheet).
AT&T has been a nightmare to work with though. First they wouldn't let me pre-order because I was prepaid. Then when I went to the store for the 2nd time after the phone was released, they still screwed up my account. I already told them that if my account is not setup the way I want it once I get the Lumia, I'm sending it back and cancelling. It's like none of them know how to use their system.

That's exactly what it seems like, that none of them know the truth and they also don't have a system that can give them the information to know the truth. Is it really that hard to have a system that keeps track of inventory coming in and going out? That is my only complaint, I can wait but I would like some information other than "we show a stock of -1800" which was the most information I have gotten.

It is very easy to become battle fatigued when dealing with AT&T…
As of now I am waiting to see if Yellow even exists – it’s like a rumor at this point. I have never seen one “live” because they weren’t carrying that color in the stores here. I just want to see it “live.”

And my problem wasn't so much with the stock of the phone, they couldn't even setup my account properly, I mean, they left me with no text messages on sunday after I specifically asked for that.

Just looked at the card I used to pay for it and there was a hold on the amount for the phone to AT&T and now it's gone. Hope they didn't do what they did to others and cancel the order on their own. If so I'll just get one through Walmart for $50 less.
