I ordered the new Lumia (yellow) on 11/15/2012, and paid $15 extra for overnight shipping. I ordered it month-to-month (full price) and didn't include a charging plate. I'm fairly confident I didn't see any special processing time disclaimers at the time, but hey, maybe I'm blind.
I waited 1 week, and the status remained "PROCESSING". I also received an email stating nothing on Earth could be done to cancel my order now. I went online and noticed a disclaimer stating that processing times could reach 2 weeks. So I waited another week (11/29). When I went online to check my order status earlier, it had been changed to "CANCELLED".
Since ATT explicitly told me nothing on Earth could cancel that order, I can only assume that ATT suffered a highly-skilled, unforeseen-cyber attack on their processing server, forcing all orders to be gruesomely murdered, deleted right in front of their fellow orders; or perhaps ATT just felt like canceling my order, without a warning or the decency to notify me.
Now I'm stuck in an odd position. If my order really was cancelled, then I still need to get another (I'm on my backup right now). If it was simply postponed (after all, that order was immortal) ATT could still slap my credit card with $500 and send it later. (At least I can count on Discover customer service to be competent and stop that payment). Any advice that doesn't involve waiting an hour for an available phone line rep before being disconnected?
When Google Wireless becomes available, God help AT&T.
tl:dr; Ordered Lumia 920, took 2 weeks to find out it was cancelled, caught in awkward position

i have read and experienced so much first hand in would funny if not for living it. they could do dominate the US wireless game if they worked like they did in the old long distance game years ago...

I would calll customer service and ask for a confirmation email that the order is cancelled. That's what they are there for. Your online account order status is notorious for giving wrong or incomplete information.

Same with me. I ordered on Nov 15 by telephone and was told that it will be shipped as most 1 weeks later. Then more than 2 weeks later the order was cancelled. I'm so angry for waiting for 2 weeks.

I got my nokia 920 on 11/29/12 and now its 12/19/12 and the phone kept turning off on me when I wasn't even around it at all. Trying to figure out how to go back to my old phone iphone 3 because it works. Removing and installing old sim card.
