Lumia 920 Issue

Hi,

I recently took Nokia lumia 920 under ATT contract. Unfortunatly, i got some issues with the mobile like, lock button of the mobile will not work as normal, and the call gets hang-up while talking. When I made an online chat with the representative, they asked me to go to the store where i bought the mobile but when i walked to the store (Storey & King road, San Jose) I was not satisified with their response. They asked to show the problem and if they feel like its a problem, then they would like to respond it seems. It is not always possible to show them in the way they ask right..

Unfortunately within the first 14 days of purchase only the point of purchase can handle the exchange of the phone and that is what you will want to have done, because once past the 14 days you would have to go through warranty (Either Nokia directly or AT&T), AT&T will send you a refurbished device from Nokia or you send your phone to Nokia and they try to repair yours if not send out a new one to you

AT&T's return policy has changed effective 10/07/12. You have 14 days to return the device & cxl without a ETF. Policy info HERE.

Couple of questions and suggestions.

FIrst, the problem as best as I can tell is that your POWER/LOCK button doesn't work reliably.

Nokia refers to the buttons this way:

1 — Earpiece

2 — Micro-SIM holder

3 — Connector for headphones and speakerphones (3.5 mm)

4 — Front camera
5 — Volume keys
6 — Power/Lock key
7 — Camera key
8 — Search key
9 — Micro-USB connector
10 — Start key
11 — Speakerphone
12 — Back key
13 — SIM door key

Second question - it's not clear from the video, but are you perhaps pressing the volume key and the power button at the same time?

Now the simple suggestion - WHEN IT IS NOT WORKING correctly, take it to the store. Hand it to the person behind the counter. Tell them the power button isn't working, have them press it. Note how the unit does not power off. Yes, the button is broken. Please replace.

By the way, I'm not at all sure how this problem would cause a call hangup - it appears as if the button fails to work at all.
