okay..I have had the new Focus for 31 days..heres the issues already...
#1: My voicemail does not work and ATT cannot figure out why. I resolved the issue myself by getting Google Voicemail.
#2; When I try to power down the phone, half the time it gives me the "goodbye" screen then turns right back on..
#3: Right now I cannot make phone calls to ANYONE except 611 and 911...ATT tells me it is a network issue and an update has been sent to my phone that has "not processed yet"...
Now the questions:
If I manage to get my phone powered down, will it turn back on automatically if I have an alarm time set?
Are there any apps available that allow you to use songs as ringtones?
And what is becoming the biggest question of all...why did I leave T-Mobile and come to ATT for such {language filter evasion} service???????

The Focus turns itself on when charging from an AC or USB outlet.
I moved off AT&T voicemail a long time ago and really only miss the voicemail notification. GoVoice is a good Gvoice app, the live tile doesnt show "messages waitin" though.

I'd suggest you go to an AT&T store and ask for a new SIM card. That may take care of your problem #1 and #3.

No that I'm aware of.

Custom ringtones are not yet supported by the OS until next update (Jan. 2011 or so).

Better cell signal coverage? T-Mobile has nice customer service and phone selections but its cell network coverage is just aweful.

Are you trying to power it down while its connected to the charger? If so, then it will not turn off. this is by design to support syncing over wifi.
