My girlfriend's HTC 8X randomly restarts, sometimes several times a day. Based on articles and posts on several Windows Phone websites and support forums this is a known issue.
The phone was replaced for this issue and the replacement phone is doing the same thing. Is there any news on a fix for this issue for AT&T HTC 8X's?

I'm sorry her phone is resetting, even after getting a replacement.
What kind of troubleshooting have you guys done? Was the phone restored with the same applications that were on her old phone?

This seems to be a firmware problem. You can either go get another replacement, or wait it out and hope that this is addressed in an upcoming update.

The 8X restarting is a known issue and has been documented on several Windows Phone blogs/websites. From what I've read, the Windows Phone 8 "Portico" update and bundled firmware updates should resolve the issue.
AT&T just began issuing the Portico update a couple days ago and this phone received it yesterday. We'll keep an eye on the phone to make sure the issue is resolved. I'm hopeful this will take care of it -- I'll reply here in a few days to let you know.

It's been several days since the update and my girlfriend has not noticed it restart.
Though it took longer for updates to be pushed out for the HTC 8X than it did for the Nokia phones, it looks like Microsoft, Windows Phone manufacturers, and AT&T are getting updates out at a good pace.

My phone randomly restarts when I try to connect to my company's wifi network. My phone is up-to-date.

Could we have a little more info?
Which phone? Updated to current OS version (if applicable?)
What kind of wifi network (a/b/g/n 2.4 or 5ghz?)
What kind of wifi security on said network?

How does one check the version numbers?
I believe my phone is up-to-date and it is powering down and rebooting sporadically.
Though some times for many cycles.
Dave.

Welcome to HTC and the reason I will never buy another. Do NOT expect them to go out of their way to fix your rebooting issue. They completely abandoned support of all of their Windows Phone devices since the HTC Surround almost immediately after release.
