I believe that outside of SEC areas, the package is included in U300 or higher tiers. If you downgrade to U200 you won't be paying for it. You cannot remove it and not pay for it otherwise(it's included).

If you want to hide the channel do:

1) Click "Menu" on your remote

2) Go to the right until you reach "Options"

3) Choose "Channel Options"

4) Click "Hide Channels"

5) Uncheck the SEC network on the list.

SEC hater.  If you live outside the 11 state footprint, and don't want to pay for the SEC Network, change your Uverse package to U200 or less.  Otherwise, just haide the channel like I do with the 40 shopping channels, 20 latino channels, and 10 religious channels I have to pay for in my Uverse package.

You don't really pay anything for the shopping and religious channels.  For the most part, they pay AT&T for carriage.
