what happened to fearnet on demand? i have the uv300 package and as of 1/1/13 its gone.

FEARnet dropped off because the contract wasn't renewed. It will be back within the next 30 days.

Halloween is over. Will be back around Next October. It is a seasonal package.

Just an internal alert sent out yesterday so that we can tell customers what's going on. I can't find anything on the customer-facing site.

What is happening: Customers are calling because the FearNet channel is blank.

Details: The contract was not renewed and it dropped off the U-verse platform at the end of 2012. This is only temporary and will be back up within the next 30 days.

Note: FearNet is an On Demand package, not a traditional TV channel.

Well as of today, 02/04/13, Fearnet is still not available, at least in the New England corridor. I looked forward to the new cheaply made thrillers and gory scenes!!! Fearnet has also featured some very good movies, movies you can't see anywhere else on the Tube. Heck, I have the 450 package and pay big bucks to watch TV, and one of my favorite networks is no longer available, grrrrrrrrr!!!!! Come on U-Verse, lets get on the ball and get Fearnet back in the lineup!!!!!! ASAP!!!!

It's now 2/11, where the heck is Fearnet? Come on AT&T for the money we're spending on UVerse each month the courtesy of an official response would be nice.

It seems like AT&T could care less about their customers. Only one employee answers these questions and says the same thing they said last October. (2012) I now have to go to my brothers house and watch FearNet on his cable system, which is Comcast. I pay over $250.00 a month for my bundle and I think we deserve a REAL answer, not someone saying it will be up and running in 30 days every time we ask. If it's deleted from U-Verses lineup, then just tell us that you're not renewing the contract. Why beat around the bush???

Firstly: This is a peer to peer (customer 2 customer) forum. There is little invoIvement amongst employees. In fact, cp7473 was posting for himself and not in the position of an employee.

Secondly, I doubt that you will find any company in this industry (or any) that will air (no pun intended) its contract negotiations, to the public. My suggestion would be for you to send a private message to the escalation team at AT&T Customer Care, and someone should get in touch with you. Does that mean that, once you do that, Fearnet will magically re-appear? No but you will have made it known to AT&T and their escalation team that you are missing the OD "channel." Could be that if enough do that, they may try harder to get it back.

I haven't seen any further information about this on my end. If there's a problem with the renewal, I'm not privy to it. Sorry it didn't work out as said, but the best I can do is share the info they give us and spare you the phone time.

Thanks for your reply to my post "dhascall", and thanks for the suggestion too. I did just what you said to do last year when FearNet was missing from their OD programming. I got the same answer as the employee in the community got when I called. So my guess is that U-Verse is not renewing their contract with FearNet, at least for the time being. And AT&T know's nothing about this discussion we have been having about programming, nor do they care..............

I have a question for Fearnet watchers, was it a subcription channel? If so how much was it per month. One thing providers have to look at is how much per month it costs them to broadcast the channel and then figure out how many subscribers actually watch it. If there were not enough subscribers to warrant the price it wouldn't make good business sence to continue carrying the channel at the price they were being charged.

It was part of their On Demand networks, in the FREE section of OD. It's part of our subscription that AT&T offers. Like the Logo, Adult Swim, illusion, channels. They played real cheaply made horror flicks, but also played some good thrillers too. Every month they changed all the movies to another set of gory horror flicks..........

Well ATT Talks about the contracts in dispute but remember they said the same thing about the Hallmark channel it never was brought back. They also took off the MGM channel from the 450 package and is now a premium channel you must subscribe pay for. I assume they will do the same for Fearnet because people want it and they see dollar signs for making more money to make it a subscribed channel as well. I feel ATT takes channels off the 450 package and don’t replace them and raises our bills.

Thank you, I never watched it so I had no idea whether it was free or not. Since it was a regular channel it could be more costly than what AT&T was willing to pay

You're welcome, but it's not just a channel, it's a whole network, like NBC, CBS, Nat-GEO, etc, etc, but On Demand. And commercial free, except a very short break in the middle of the movie telling you you're watching Fearnet On Demand. It even has a website for viewers. It's like a "cult" channel for gory movie watchers/fans........
