how do i know for sure i have uverse internet? att never buried a line at my house. a friend of mine got uverse this week and they will be burying her line this week.

What kind of Modem/Residential Gateway do you have? We can tell you from that.

Does your bill say your paying for Uverse Internet or DSL Highspeed Internet?
It could be your friend's line needed to be replaced.
If you have any form of (non-wireless) internet from AT&T your line is there already. AT&T will use the same line for either type of service (not simultaneously).
