My current ISP offers 3M DSL. The cost of modem and setup fees for the U-verse 3M service, means that even with the 1 year specials I would not gain to make the switch. However, if a 4M or 6M U-verse service were available in Irvine, I would consider making the switch. When will 4-6M U-verse Internet service be available in Irvine, Ca?

I don't know if you've tried this or not but worth a try if not. If it shows not available, you can ask that you be notified when it is available. Other than this, AT&T does not release schedules or dates when service will be available in a specific area.
Do any of your neighbors already have the services you want? If so, it could be your address was just missed in the database.
In that case I would recommend that you send a Private Message to the AT&TCustomerCare customer service team. They will reply back with a PM (blue envelope in the top right of the page). Their normal business hours are from 7am to 10pm Central Time. Please take in to account weekends when sending your message.
