U-Verse installation and dvd player

The U-Verse installer unplugged my dvd player and left before making sure it worked with the new setup.  Now I cannot get it to play on my tv.  It works, it plays the dvd, but there is no connection to the tv.  It appears to be plugged in correctly.   DVD button on remote does not seem to work.   My Comcast remote worked with the DVD player.  What happened and how can I fix it?  

Oh, and the printer doesn't work anymore either.  Do I need to reinstall?

It is not up to ATT's techs to hook back up your dvd player, or make your printer work. As for each, your printer settings need to be changed to reflect the ATT Uverse gateway connection, that it will be using from now on. You can check the manufacturer website in how to do that.

As for the DVD player, it just needs to be hooked back up to the tv, and as for the remote for the Uverse box, you just need to program it if you wish to use it to control the dvd player.

So easy for both of these, a fifth grader could do it in less than two hours time, tops.

For your DVD player, look and see where if at all it's hooked up to the TV.  It should say input (X).  To watch a DVD you will need to change your TV input the the one the DVD is hooked into.  As for programming your remote, click here to be taken to the site that explains how to program your remote and for codes.   If your printer is wireless you will need to setup your printer with your new network and network password which is on the side of the RG (Modem).

Then the remote does not work.   I've already programmed the remote to work with the dvd player.   Nothing.   I've reset the remote.  Nothing.   I've checked all of the connections.  Nothing.   Thanks for your kind response, though.

What is the model numbers of your DVD player and tv? Also, what is the model of your printer? What is your operating system(windows XP/7/8 or Mac OS X etc.)?
