So I decided that I needed to upgrade my internet connection from the chugging AT&T DSL to the UVerse Mbps package. I opted for the self install (figure im competent enough to hook up the 2wire Residential gatway. My activation day was 7/11/12 and I am stll on my AT&T dsl connection today the 14th. On the day of activation a tech came by and installed the NID box outside of my home and called me to talk to me about a portion of the install. When I came outside he instructed me that the wiring from the NID to inside the home needed to be completed by me since I opted for a self install. Instructions were to wire some cat5 wire from the NID box to the phone wiring inside the home. After hours of trying to find something online as to how to go about do this I come to you guys. Now I was wondering can I make a connection from the NID to inside the home that I can solely connect the RG to? like NID to rj45 wall plate to which I would hook up my RG? or do I have to wire from the RG to the main phone line to send the internet signal to all phonejacks in my home? Kinda sucks that I was just left to fend for myself with this one, had I known that I needed to run wire from the NID to inside I would have requested it get done by a tech since I work absurd hours and get a day off everyonce in a while. Any help is appreiciated/ Ill try to get some pictures of the NID to help out if need be.

Thanks, I figured as much. I don't have phone service in my house so It wouldnt matter anyways but I figured connecting the NID to a plate to the RG would be the best bet for my setup. And also the least headachy haha. Thanks alot aviewer!
