Posting this here as well as Billing as some general guidelines for first time posters.
1. This is a customer forum meaning that we are UVerse customers like you. While there are a few AT&T employees that monitor these forums, the majority of posts are made by other users trying to help.
2. There is no need to write a novel, extremely long posts will rarely get read. Be short and specific with your issue.
3. If it is an account specific issue, we cannot answer those questions and we will refer you to an AT&T employee by the name of Alex. He is an account manager on here that has a great team that work with him that get issues resolved when all other attempts through normal channels have failed.
4. There is a Contact AT&T link at the home page for the forums, but I'll post it here so you don't have to go back. CONTACT AT&T
5, If you have exhausted front line customer service/technical support and you still have issues, Send a PM (Private Message) to Alex. He or a member of his team will get in touch. In your message be sure to include your account number, a description of the issue, a brief summary of what has been attempted to correct the issue and the best time to contact you. Be sure to check your settings to recieve an email when your PM has been replied to.
6. Don't drag up posts older than 3 months and reply to them. If the post is that old, start a new thread.
7. Posts with a green check mark have been marked as resolved, you can click on the "Go to Resolution" in the first post to see what corrected the issue. If it was account specific, contacting Alex is the resolution and if you are having the same issue, just contact Alex and do yourself a favor.
8. If you are given a solution, or asked to provide more information by a user, don't get defensive, we are trying to help, and those of us with ACE designations are NOT AT&T employees
9. Have fun and keep it courteous.

NICE!
About #6, there was a forum member who is no longer here (
) who chided folks for not using the forum search and again chided them for starting a new topic. I disagree with his thinking and feel that a poster should always open a new topic in the Accounting and Billing sections since no two situations are the same in terms of billing. The "me too" posts could be from AT&T hating trouble maers. Seriously.

An update to the courtesy guidelines for the forums. Alex has moved on to a different role within the company and is no longer accepting private message. In his place AT&T Customer Care is now who you should contact for issues regarding accounts. They are not the same as Customer Service, they are a dedicated escalation team that can get issues resolved when other methods have failed.
To contact AT&T Customer care, click on the link provided and it will take you to the form to send them a private message.

why not just change the link in the original post. Why make the user scroll down and read more. Most people coming looking for an answer like myself will see that link and immediately click on it. The user shouldnt have to read the next post just to find out that the contact has been changed. if it is wrong, change it. Why make the user scroll down and read the next post. doesnt make sense.

because once a post is over a couple of hours old it cannot be edited.
