And when the farts smell like roses your daily black screen might clear up too!! It could be the smell causing the components inside the equipment to get an odorous film causing excessive heat and thus the breakdown of the necessary needed voltage to flow across the circuit board horizontally in an unimpeded fashion.
That's my take on the problem!!

Consider yourself lucky. I have four dogs, and the smell is so bad, I can't even get Uverse.
