Audio issues with ABC HD

Okay, so this is the third time this has happened to us since we got Uverse set up... we have this strange audio issue with the HC ABC channel. We get the audio description voice over when watching Modern Family; this is the second time this has happened. We also get an intermittent echo effect, even including commercials.
We don't have this problem with the standard definition ABC channel, and we don't experience any issues with any other channels (HD or otherwise.) For some reason, it seems to be ABC-HD specific.
I've also had some issues with the picture freezing and losing the channel reception once or twice, and I only seem to recall this happening with ABC as well, but I can't say for certain if this is related or even ABC specific. All I can say is it's irritating when we miss bits of Castle or Modern Family.
My first thought was that this was happening during Castle because we're recording three shows at that time and I was worried we were pushing the bandwidth, but with Modern Family that's the only thing we're recording or watching so I don't think that's the root cause.
Anybody have any ideas? Thanks very much in advance.

I'm glad to hear that we are not the only household that this is happening to. We have experienced the exact same problems with both Modern Family and Castle. I assume this is a problem on ATT's part and not the ABC network. Otherwise, I'm sure we would have heard far more flak about it. I read one forum that suggested a solution in the language settings in the U-verse options menu. Unfortunately, I found no viable solution there. I will be interested to see just how many people are affected and what, if any, actions are taken to correct this.

Same issue here with the overlaid audio description. Second time as well, so it's not a one time fluke obviously. Not sure what I can do on my end to fix it either...

We had U verse added 3 weeksd ago. We have the issue every day. Only in the HD. Numerous times we have called and we only get partial answers from their IT. Yesterday a tech camne down and checked every inch of our lines. The problem happened again and it's always at around 11:30 AM. ATT had better come up with an answer. We are not paying for partial service. It's beginning to be a waste of time to call anymore. Our reception actually goes black and lasts about 1 to 3 hrs for ABC.
If i hear anymore, I'll post it..

Is this the only issue? If so, this is a known issue where a channel may go blank for a few minutes to a few hours. U-verse is aware of the issue, and has been trying to resolve it. The solution when this occurs in order to get the picture back immediately is to reboot the U-verse receiver.

Thx Tex guy, I already know that and my point is who do I charge to reboot everyday, lol. I should have kept Optimum, which I may go back to.
I had numerous other issues. since resolved.

It really has nothing to do with ATT, it is more of a local affiliate issue.

Odd. I experience this on occassion, maybe 2 or 3 times a month, but not everyday.

The U-verse receivers use Microsoft's Media Room software, so Microsoft has to resolve the issue. I did read on this forum that AT&T has opened a ticket with Microsoft to resolve this; however, there is no ETA on a solution. The solution must be more complex than what we imagine because this problem has been reported for a while.
