I am moving to an area in the Dallas/Fort Worth area where I can't get Uverse or ATT internet. I have been a Uverse member from the beginning and it is the best system out there (still struggling with giving it up), but I am now trying to figure out if there is a way to keep my ATT Email address and account. Does anyone know of a way to keep it. I am willing to even pay a small fee to keep it if I can.
Also, does anyone know a way I can check on future UVerse expansions to see when I will be able to get UVerse again.

Yes, you can keep your att.net email address at no additional charge after you terminate your U-verse service.

Hopefully if it is possible, Uverse will be rolled out in the area you live in, so that you won't have to be without it for long.

I have had my AT&T email address for several years, which I got when I signed up for AT&T DSL.
Since that time AT&T left the DSL business entirely and I was automatically switched to Covad (now MegaPath).
I still have AT&T phone service.
If I am understanding this correctly, I can cancel my phone service and still keep my AT&T email address?

Do you have AT&T U-verse service?

No, I do not.
I originally had AT&T phone and DSL. Then AT&T left the DSL business in the New York area completely. They switched us over to Covad (MegaPath). Now all I have is AT&T phone service.
I want to terminate my phone service and pay (if necessary) just to keep my email address.
I have heard very different stories as to whether this can be done.

This is the AT&T U-verse customer forum, I don't the what happens with non-U-verse customers who terminate service. You might want to send a PM to AT&T Customer Care to see if they can answer your question..
Also, check the settings on your account to make sure that you will receive email notification when a PM is received on this forum.

Thank you for clarifying that this forum is strictly U-Verse related.

This forum you have posted on is U-verse related. If you look at the top of thet page, there is an Internet menu that will take you to "the other side."
Or you can click this link:
