This actually happened to me. I got in touch with AT&T and they promised a zero balance and letter. BUT NO, I still have collections contacting me. I paid collections, because I dont want to deal with this crap, but it seems like it will be added to my credit. Very annoying and terrible customer service. Did you get your situation taken care of? Post looks old.

First if you don't owe, you should NEVER pay a collection agency. If it was being sent to collections in error, guess what, you won't be getting your money back. As you said, yes this post is old, if you have an account specific issue you need to contact Alex. He or someone from his team will be in touch.
