billing problems

Back in December I switch to U-Verse. Well took about a month and 1/2 for me to get the equipment. Ok I can live with that. What I can't live with is what happen next. When I received my bills in March One bill had the phone, Direct and internet on it and the 2nd one was from U-Verse.. Well I call AT&T and thought that it was taken care about me being bill twice for internet services. I was wrong. On the 13 of March, AT&T shut my internet off-now this was after I paid the bill in full on Mar 1st. So I called AT&T again and again thought I had taken care of it. Well, the next thing I knew was I got a final billing for the uverse internet.( I never cancel it) then this past Saturday I received a pay or else letter. Well ever before I could call AT&T about it, I got a phone call from a collection service. I would call them about this again BUT I don't feel like waiting 15-20 minutes before I can talk to a human so I 'll play the wait game until THEY call me
