I have had phone service since the 70's with att and internet since 1996. A lady called, and it's recorded, and said that I would get $100 reward card for swiching to uverse. She also said there would be "NO CHARGE" for the modem and installation, and my bill would run around a certain amount each month. She just out and out lied to me and why I don't understand. They are appling my reward card to the installation fee and/or modem cost. Is this fair? Since the modem and installation fee is free, why are they appling the reward card to the cost?? She said the reward card was for swiching service, not for modem/installation fee. I have paid att over $100,000.00 since the 70's to have service and this is a shoddy way of treating their custumers..I am going to the BBS and to my State Reps and Senators about the shoddy way I was treated, and if it is not resolved, I will go futher. Since you will not give me the corperate office number, I have no other recourse. THIS IS NOT THE WAY TO TREAT PEOPLE THAT HAS DONE BUSINESS WITH YOU SINCE THE 70'S. THIS IS NOT FAIR AND YOU LIED TO ME, JUST OUT-RIGHT LIED TO ME. AND THEN WANT TO CHANGE UP WHAT YOU ARE APPLING THE REWARD CARD TO. CAN ANYONE AT ATT HELP ME BEFORE I HAVE A STROKE????
