This forum was so great in getting my other issue solved, I wanted to share this as well.
We signed up for our UVerse service ONLINE on 12/25/2012. Now let me say that AT&T HAS SENT the $200 Visa reward card that THEY promised at the end of signup and in fact sent it out 3 weeks early, no issue with this at all.
But during signup, CHAT REPRESENTATIVE, in that separate chat box that pops up, PROMISED AN ADDITIONAL $100 REWARD CARD from them for signing up and had me give them out order # upon completion of the signup process, so they could report it to get our $100 reward card from them. WE HAVE NEVER GOTTEN IT, NOR IS THERE ANY RECORD OF IT.
I know that phone calls are recorded, for quality purposes, I am assuming that chats are as well, if so, it would be easy enough to check the chat that I was involved in that night to confirm what I am saying.
Absent that $100 incentive from chat, WE STILL WOULD HAVE SIGNED UP, we wanted to leave our old provider in the worst way, but that is not really the point, we were PROMISED SOMETHING.
Has this or something similar happened to anyone else?

Just called ATT Rewards Center, spoke with Coretta, she said we would need to do a 3 way call with Chat or whomever, next thing I had the ATT robot voice, guess she left me alone after all.
WHY is it that NO ONE at ATT wants to deal with this issue?
I have been bounced back and forth for over a month now.

Thank you Chris for the email, I appreciate your looking into this for me. As I told you in my reply, "chat" does not offer a capability to "save" the chat nor will they email you a copy of it.
I strongly suspect that the sales team makes promises in order to secure orders that they cannot fulfill, hope that I am wrong. I have seen other complaints about this same thing on this board before.

I still would like to know IF "chat" is recorded and saved like phone calls are and IF NOT, WHY NOT?
Business is conducted over chat just like the phone?
It should be simply enough to just REVIEW my sales chat from December 25th and verify what I am saying.

I know where I work, we do support via chat and all of our transcripts are kept.
