No not normally. These "deals" are only offered to new subscribers. All companies do this to try to entice customers to switch over to their service.
You could always call 800-288-2020 and make an attempt though. Don't know how far you will get.![]()

I'm getting a pretty sweet deal right now since we have been with U-verse for several years. U-450, 18mb internet, and 5 receivers (although 2 are xboxes) for less than what I was paying before with u-200, 12mb internet and 4 receivers (2 xbox)

Clue me in on how you worked that deal!! I want it too!! I just don't want to lose my free grandfathered STB's.

That may be a promotion. But one thing is for sure, if you leave your current plan for something like that and it is temporary. When the promotion ends you will be paying the higher price, unless you get another promotion from a different CSR. And it is possible you will be saying good bye to those grandfathered STBs. IMHO

I called them up after my free HBO Cinemax trial planning on canceling that and I off-handedly asked if they could get me a better deal. The CSR I had got me a better deal :-)

I did that a couple of years ago when I received an offer from Dish and they upgraded my internet from Max 12 to 18 at the same price as the 12, and knocked some off the U450 for upgrading the internet, but it wasn't anywhere near the price of U200.![]()
Maybe time to try again?

To be fair I also had to agree to a 1 year lock in to get this rate.
And I did it back in August/September.

We got U300 + 3 STBs(One DVR and two reg) + Unlimited Phone for $96 for 6 months. Also add $19.99 for Comcast's 16/2 + 25/4 during powerboost plan so it came out to:

16/2 reg + 25/4 Powerboost Internet
----------------------------------------------
$115.99

Call CS and inquire, but if you can't you ask and get any promos that are being offered if there are any. Sometimes you might get an uncooperatvie CSR. If you do, politely end the call and call back until you get a cooperative CSR. You stated that you are currently getting a promotion, so I recommend you do this before the current promotion ends.

I would call 1-800-288-2020 and say "Cancel my service." Retentions often mentions that they can give me an offer normally only for new customers. Never hurts to try.

In addition, it makes a difference to tell the REP you are thinking about disconnecting or mention a competitor's offer, not just the IVR.
