Billing Issue

I had a att dsl account. I had asked to switch over to ATT Uverse and was told the old account would be cancelled and the new account for U verse would be active. Now while billing i was billed for a month with old dsl and also new u verse. i see the billing periods clearly intersect and i am being billed for a month for a service i didnt use.

What do you mean by "intersect"? If you're Uverse account started after the billing period for DSL began, it will take a billing period for the DSL bill to be prorated and the final bill to be printed.

Just curious to see if you ever got your refund or adjustment on your bill. I had the same situation. Dropped the Uverse and kept the internet. Unfortunately I made the change on the day for the next month bill. So Like you I was billed for the next month, and I would not even have the service.Talked to a couple of reps who said, no they could not adjust bill. I would be refunded over the next couple of months. I dropped the cable to save money, but yet I still have to pay a full next months bill. I did at one time get a rep who told me point blank, ignore that bill, I'll get it adjusted and send you a new bill. Did not get a new bill, so I called back and was told that rep would not have been authorized to say that and yes I would still have to pay the full amount. I did and was credited over a 2 month period. Every rep I talked to has a different story. Seems like they just make it up as they go along.
