When I signed up I was told that I would get a $100 Visa gift card. I kept waiting for the card to come in the mail and it did not. I logged on to the att website and found out I had to redeem it by putting in my account number. I kept putting in my account number only to be told it was not the right account number. I kept trying to call about my account but could not get past the 4 digit code and password. I was told the only way to get it reset was to be home between the hours of 8-7 so they could call me. I own my own business and we are open from 8-7. I had no time to be home. So today I finally made a change in my schedule, stayed home, got my passcode reset only to find out that I only had 3 months to claim my $100 visa gift card and there is nothing I can do about it. I'm out the $100 dollars??? That is not acceptable. If you going to offer the gift card why the time limitation??? This is the poorest of customer service. At the end of every conversation your operators say thank you and we hope we have satisfied you with our level or service. If you don't mean it you shouldn't say it!!! The only thing I am now is a completely frustrated ATT U-verse customer. It is sad that I have phone service (wireless and home), and TV service with a company that doesnt' give a crap!!! I spend tons of money each year for your services, but you cannot make good on a $100 gift card because it is past the 3 months!!! Ridiculous!!!

Isn't it funny, somehow, that they have all of your information on your account: who you are, where you live, where your service is, how to contact you directly, what services you're signed up for, when you had installation, which employee did your installation, which CSRs you've had logging into your account when you call with a problem, when you've paid your bills, how you've paid those bills ....
YET all of this information just can't be linked to a program of theirs that gives you money out of THEIR pocket?
Their system will be sure to charge you the DAY after a promotional item expires. So say you're on the HBO/Cinemax promotion for 3 months, and it ends on September 30. As of October 1 (and probably exactly at 12:00:00am), you get charged for $26. No questions asked, no CSR necessary to change it, it automatically happens.
But somehow, this same system can't, on that same September 30 date, see that you've had service for 30 days, and automatically notify you that your rebate, gift card, Visa card, or whatever other promotion is being processed and will be sent within whatever turnaround timeframe. No questions asked, no "people" intervention needed, automatically happens.
If you can link two documents in an Excel spreadsheet such that if you update or change figures in one, the other will automatically change because of that action, how is it these business software packages don't have the same capabilities? Bill Gates and his Boyz have secret code nobody else is able to figure out?

I got U-Verse tv and internet on 6/30. Sometime after that, I received instructions from U-Verse on how to redeem my $150 in cash-back cards. About 30 days after installation, I logged into the U-Verse site and requested my cards. Three weeks later they arrived and within about a week they were spent. It was very easy if you can follow simple instructions.

You have to remember that these promos are NOT handled by ATT, but by third-parties (as is such for every rebate/promo I've ever applied for).
Regarding the reward--you should receive a letter/note via snail mail that tells you to CLAIM your reward here: https://rewardcenter.att.com/
I would make a call to Sales and explain the situation (with a cool head, BTW). Most times they will oblige and reactivate the award, or give you an equal credit on your bill.

I actually had U-Verse 3+ years ago. I did the bundle, and sat on my butt and waited for this magical $300 reward.
It was long-past the redemption period when I realized that *I* was the one who faltered, and didn't follow through with MY promotional credit.
Now that I just re-signed with U-Verse, I already have the Redemption FAQ page bookmarked, and I'm excited to have my 'instructions' arrive in the mail so I don't miss out on this time's $200 reward card.
When you return a liquor rebate ($3 off 1L or later, etc) deals, they don't automatically come up. The liquor company doesn't track you down... "Hey, I see you bought a bottle of Jack Daniels...did you save the receipt to mail it in for that $5 off?!"
Well, and if you're going to call tech support, customer service, or your in-laws...a little patience and civility can go a LONG way. : )
