We all know that you have to be careful about the hours of recordings on your DVR but what about the number of your recorded series? That too can mess wiith your account!
Earlier this week, I noticed that a series wasn't recording. Nothing had changed. I talked to a Customer Care manager who had some theories but no sure "that's what happened." While I was talking to her, I recalled some issues back in early 2011 where series weren't recording. I had too many series set up!
My guess is that is why "The Talk" did not record.
We watch lots of reality shows, such as Amazing Race but they differientiate each season with a number, such as Amazing race 8, Amazing race 9, Survivor Outback and so on. A Tier 2+ staffer named Roy told me that when you get over 200, it could hose your system. So remove the old ones, that you are no longer using. I wonder if my DVR shold be on Hoarders?

Are you referring to too many series in your overall list or just current ones that are going to record during this season? Unfortunately there are many older series I didn't delete from my master list because it sometimes returns on the same or another network. Of course if it's NBC, you can count on cancellations.

"Ren: Now listen, Cadet. I've got a job for you. See this button? Don't touch it! It's the History Eraser button, you fool!
Stimpy: So what'll happen?
Ren: That's just it. We don't know. Maybe something bad, maybe something good. I guess we'll never know, 'cause you're going to guard it. You won't touch it, will you?"

I just went in and found that we had four series recordings for the same program. Talk about amnesia.
Me too! Cheaters, Saturday night , channel 4 two series recordings look identical. Same as the issue with The Talk. I now only have 70 or so series, down from 150+.

Scary! That happened once to me a year ago. Nothing like that since. Quite often I have up to four series and/or single recordings going at one time and it works flawlessly (knock on wood). This makes me not want to upgrade to the newer 2250 series dvr.

I periodically go in and erase old series recordings. I have had multiple series recordings set up when they weren't happening when they were supposed to. This was a workaround I used to make sure my series recordings happened as scheduled.

You have to be careful with deleting series too early though as sometimes they'll just pop back up becuase they got renewed later or they already paid for a group of episodes and they decided to broadcast them at some obscure time.
I used to watch Flashpoint swat series, got cancelled, then ION of all networks picked them up...... then cancelled. Although the series wouldn't have picked that up becuase it was a different network.
