Did you try clearing caches and cookies or using other browser?

You can go to http://uversetv.att.yahoo.com/wra/uverse/ which is where the link at the front page at http://www.att.com used to take you.

Thanks for the workaround but I am still confused as to why this feature disappeared from the att.net home page

That would be a Yahoo issue. Most likely they are working with ATT, since they made changes to the app on the att.net page, and knowing how the new management for Yahoo is operating the company, I am not placing much hope on that app getting functional any time soon.
