I know that I will have to delete the original series and set up a new one BUT why did this series stop?
The Talk, WISH 8, 2 PM, Everyday, First and Reruns.
The first shot is the Guide and the second one is the series:

Hmmm.....
Something must have changed in the data being received by the box to make it think the series was over. Not sure what that would be though.

I'm questioning why you're recording it in SD when it is broadcasted in HD and it looks like you pay for the HD service.
Resident Xbox ACE. Ask me almost anything about U-Verse on the Xbox.

I also notice that you are also recording Dr. Oz at the same time. Is it possuble that you just have more programs scheduled to record at 2:00pm than you have capacity for?
If you try moving the series priority up, it could be that less important shows are higher on the priority list, and they are being recorded instead of this one.

Thanks but that wouldn't be it. If that were the case, "The Talk" would have a Red recording dot with an "X" through it, to indicate a conflict.
BTW - we (U-Verse subscribers) used to have an issue where a particular episode of a series would not record and if you tried to hit record, you would get a "This program is already set to record." If you rebooted, the show would magically start up. I pressed record on "The Talk" and it started recording, just fine.
Ya know, I did not do a reboot - maybe I shoulda tried that just for "shoots and giggles." At any rate, Social Media will call me today to see what's up.

Thanks AG. Old habits, baby! 1) We keep our DVR fairly full and 2) if I recorded on HD, my wife would freak if she looked at the guide and did not see a red light when she started looking down low in the SD channels. ![]()
As far as HD goes. I'm not sure how much better a Talk Show, like"The Talk" would look in HD but I do record a fair bit in HD. The one limiting factor is that we only have one HD set. So, if I record something in HD, knowing I'm going to watch it on my almost 20 year old, non HD, TV, what's the point? We are going to start replacing the two non HD sets within 2-3 years, so that will be a non issue.

Update: Not much in the way of problem solving from Customer Care. The manager that I talked to kept saying that an outage, possibly in January stopped this series from recording. No other series stopped that I know of. She then went on to DVR space being the culprit. She was a bit confused as she tried to keep talking about the number of hours on the DVR when I think that the issue might be related to the # of series recordings.
Not resolved but I did set up a new series. I now think that a reboot may have fixed this. Oh well.
Long story short - Delete old series!

I have had this happen to multiple NBC series. Arouind 3 shows simply stopped recording. And this hasppened once last year, and once around a year before that. I think Microsoft's software (similar to media center on pc's) uses a unique identifier behind the series name to make sure the series keep connected, but it is provided by the Content Provider and FYI Entertainment. If they change it for any reason, it causes the show to look like a new show to the DVR. So the original show set up to record stops recording, and the shows going forward do not record.
