U-verse technicians do not leave equipment at the front door or drop equipment off to a customer. Equipment that will be self installed by a customers is shipped to the customer by UPS as opposed to tying up a technician to do a truck roll.

Well, my first reasonable request was they simply ship the box. That was met with a bunch of no's. 2nd request was they leave at front door because no way was I going to wait at home for 4 hours. This was approved and included in the dispatching notes. If UPS can leave boxes that actually have value, no reason why AT&T can't with customer pre-approval. because, really, this box has zero value beyond scrap parts (if you think about it).

You may have to do it trial and error until you find the right spot. But hang in there someone will be along with more suggestions.

I got a call from an Att rep asking if everything was running well with the service. I said, " actually there is a small buzzing sound coming off the main DVR. " He tried to reboot and since that didn't work he recommended that we swap boxes. Ok, no problem. The customer support tech said it was the fan rubbing against something and needed to be fixed. Today the box arrived and its the 1225. I actually have the 2250. I'm thinking about sending the 1225 back and just live with the buzzing sound. my husband doesn't want to downgrade to the 1225. Anyone have luck with AT&T sending the exact same box after sending the wrong one?

Call CS and tell them that you are returning the replacement.
This happens all the time (happened to me) but you need to let them know that you won't be using the replacement that they sent.

My DVR developed a "buzzing" sound. It turns out the case was making the noise due to vibrations from the hard drive. I put a small paperweight on the case and it got rid of the noise.
