No Media Share, but the Surround Sound option is there and DD5.1 is working fine over Toslink.
Good to see you are still around Cheer.
Thanks, Escapee. Work has been crushing me, timewise, and forums were the first thing to go.
Incidentally, I've noticed much snappier response from the DVR since the upgrade. Deletes, etc. sometimes would happen very sluggishly in the past, but so far I've not seen any lag since the new software was pushed out.

My part of Marietta, GA got the update this AM (@ 4:15 AM!) ![]()
As of 6:30 AM the audio option had not loaded yet
, but I forgot to try & reset the boxes before leaving for work to see if that would encourage the completion of the update. I'll do so after work today if the audio *hotfix* hasn't occured by then.

Another confirmation from Raymore Mo (64083) south of KCMO metro, I noticed the RED record light this morning on my upstairs (non-DVR box). I did a quick check and we have the upgrade! woohoo!!
Thanks AT&T!

media share is only being pushed to a selected few in San Antonio & Austin. Apparently there is still bugs in it. And currently working on comps running xp & vista no support for mac users

The update came through early this morning over here in Grain Valley, Missouri......just east of Kansas City. I discovered it when I turned on the living room TV and discovered that the aspect ratio setting in the DVR had reverted to 4x3. I changed it back to 1080i wide screen and all is ok. THEN I checked our two STB's in the kitchen and computer room. No problem with the aspect ratio and everything seemed ok except when I checked the system settings and under listing info there was this: !!!RECOVERING FROM!!! followed by a time....about 7:45 AM I think. So I rebooted both of the STB's and that line disappeared. I apparently will not have to reboot the DVR. Everything is functioning fine and all the system settings look ok.
Other than the obvious changes involving the THDVR capabilities of the STB's.......there are quite a few subtle changes that we are still discovering. For example you can now use the remote arrows to look at upcoming programs on the same channel and to switch the PIP channels up and down to visually see what is on those other channels. At least I think that is new. Not a feature we would use much so maybe it was already there. Most of the changes won't affect us much but may be useful for lots of other folks.
We've had quite a few households in our neighborhood switch to UV recently.....a couple in just the last week or so. I suspect they will have more questions and may have to call TS for some help.
We've been subscribers since December 18, 2007 and it is amazing how the system has evolved over the last year and a half.

That's an old feature.

We got this in Ohio,(Akron) as well. Don't know about the dropped sounds, haven't noticed it. It just upgraded last night (July 7) here. That was definitely annoying. How about freezing the picture on non-DVR STBs?

Really? Hmmmm. Guess I never had occasion to use it so never noticed. Thanks for the correction.

I believe the scheduled updates that you see are updating the on screen guide. You should have the audio update to correct the 5.1 sound issues within a few days of the 1st update. The rumor is that everyone in all markets will be updated by July 10th.

THDVR update in Racine WI. Got it about 1:45 am. I don't have a lot of time to play with it before leaving for work, but so far, so good!

Got the Phase ll update to all 3 of my boxes yesterday morning in the Atlanta metro area, but w/o the audio *hotfix*.
24 hrs later, one of my 3 boxes had the update, but naturally not the one connected to the home theater receiver! So, for those of you yet to get the update, the full update may take days, and your boxes won't always be in sync.

Got the update here in Menomonee Falls, WI (53051) last nite. Did not have chance to check it out before going to work but there is a selection for audio between stereo or 5.1.
