As of this very moment my DVR froze and went into the reboot sequence. When it came back on it said there was an update available for download. So I pressed OK and it is now downloading the update. This is the same sequence I have heard others describe. Although, it seems that it is not taking as long as others have described(up to 30 mins). It said it would only take 17 mins and it is currently at 55% complete with 4 mins remaining. I think this is it! I hope this is it!
Spd check to see if it downloaded for you.
Spd do I get a present? ![]()

Yup, we got it here as well...the Internet has been slow and just not working, it was in the witching hours, so didn't think much of it. Went for a break and the living room TV was stuck with Client Initialization Error or something (OK didn't work as it suggested on-screen, so I did a Reset).
DVR has the new firmware 1.6...kitchen had to be Reset as it hung on green Link, but nothing was up. Saw the new black ATT splash screen like others have said.
Probably won't have time to play with it for now...I'm still in iTunes hell...back to Amazon for some missing artwork.
Yippee!!!!

If some of you got this update in Houston, I must have got skipped over then or something, as it did not make it out to me at all where i live.
I really think I am on a separate VHO definitely now.

Late last night I saw the update bar pop up, and I seriously prayed that it was what I thought it was.
And it is! This morning I turned on the TV in the bedroom, and we officially have THDVR in our house now! Hooray! Just thought I'd share as I'm sure any other Houstonians on here are going to be stoked.
Sorry, I didn't realize a new section had been created for THDVR posts, so I posted this in "Features" first. If the mods want to move/delete that one, it's cool.
PS--I am in the Montrose/Upper Kirby/River Oaks area. Don't know if that makes a difference.

NO FAIR!
How dare they call and say we have it, but then we don't have it!!! I was so excited I hung up and didn't hear the rest of the message (annoying my husband).

I agree...Just annoying that they already called (automated phone call) me to tell me that is should be on my DVR. Just wish they held off that phone call until they actually got this deployed.
You might want to try doing a soft reboot on your stbs, that may trigger the download. One of my stbs froze while the download was preparing and after doing a softboot the download started and completed.

I received the call today, after I got the update. At least you have something to look forward to. They called to let you know so it can't be too far away.

Got it working over the weekend! Only gripe I have is that I can't schedule recordings from any stb...other than that, it's great (so far). Really like the grouping of the recordings also.

More feature controls will be added in the next update of the thdvr.

Made it to 77571 by 9/28. Got "announcement" tonight on TVs.
Client version is 1.6.5686.1.
Love the "consolidation" (level) of recordings as well.

Been having problems for the past 3 nights, late... the tv and net both would stop working around 11pm-12am. Yesterday morning, it was still messed up so I rebooted the RG and boxes and got nothing. Headed to work. Last night, it took forever to get the two tvs I was trying to watch to work. They finally came up and as a result, half of a show I had set to record was missed. Net was down yet again this morning. I've been meaning to log in and see if anyone else had been having problems like mine.
I've had the "grouped" dvr recordings for 3 days now (which I like). Came home tonight and got the message stating thdvr is now here. Hopefully the issues with this thing going down will be lessened. I was getting irked since it kept happening when I NEEDED the net! lol.
Btw, 77065.
