I currently have the VIP1225 Motorola dvr and it works great but is there a bigger, better, faster one out there available in the Michigan market? Or are the newer ones problem plagued? Thanks.

I live in the SE part of Michigan and I have the 2250 which is the 500gb hard drive. Mine doesn't/hasn't had any problems.

They will charge you for the 2250 if your current DVR isn't failing. I think the 1225 is either 250 or 300gb. I don't remember exactly. Click on the hyperlink in my sig and contact Customer Care, maybe they can help you.

Ryan replied from ATT and told me that it is an $100- upgrade fee to the vip2250 or if there is a problem w/ mine they will swap them out with the upgraded one, but no guarantee I would get it.

I e-mailed him some ?'s and will probably do the upgrade.
