Freezing/Stuttering picture during playback/record - all TV's, Uverse NC

Well -- I just called Uverse support again (third time since installation in November) for the same freezing/stuttering picture issue

I took a look at this board and they seem to indicate that the errors in the picture below might help troubleshoot -- Each time I call they ask me to do the standard 'reset the box, do a short recording, oh, that didn't reproduce?' nobody seems to ask for these errors. I opened a web-chat today, got a case number, and was told there is an outage in my area causing these problems. I have a hard time believing that its been the same outage for the last 3 months.

I told him I'd get back in touch in 3-4 days, but wanted to get the take of the forum here. My system is a CAT5 hard-wire to outside, no co-ax, wireless STB's throughout - uverse turbo, highest of the high internet, and I'm not getting that fully either.

Any help is appreciated!

Need the IP/Profile & Bitloading tabs also. And can you post them as a larger screenshot, not as a medium thumbnail.

Sorry about that -- i was trying to conserve the internets usage a bit... figured it would at least be legible...

Use the phone number in my sig and contact TS. Ask the CSR to run a test on your service for errors. When they see them request a tech be sent out to check your install.

You need to hide your personal info, to do that you need to click on the configuration tab in UVRealtime. Then repost the IP/Profile screen shot.

I'm also experiencing Freezing/Stuttering picture during playback, but mine is more specific: Only playback of HD recordings played on our secondary (non-disk) unit. But playing those same recordings on the main (disk) unit is fine,

I've installed & ran UVrealTime which a number of issues such as 'Dist from VRAD', 'Profiles', 'Retrains', 'Failures', and no BitLoad above 5mHz!

BUT: It seems to me that my problem lies in the inside communication between the disk unit and our secondary unit while the RT reports are primarily about the communications with the outside world.

Do any of the RT reports deal with unit-to-unit communications? What about the 'Channels/Streams'? (Which BTW shows incorrect Chan. data even after 5+ mins.)

This doesn't seem like the same problem, except that it is the same symptom and won't be the same for a resolution. I'd suggest opening your own thread -- as you can see they are very quick to get you pointed in the right direction, and I have ATT coming out tomorrow to troubleshoot -- they know its a problem between the gateway and the point at the end of the street... aside from that we'll find out tomorrow!

bobmcarolr - Do you have COAX feed to the second TV?? Can you connect cat5?
Possible problems with COAX - Loose connection - bad COAX - cable ends are not compression - barrel connector splicing cable - bad splitter or diplexer or cable on wrong port - COAX bend too sharp.

I believe there is an HPNA section of UVRT that deals with COAX.

If you are connected cat5 problem would be one or both the STB/DVR.
