I have had U-Verse for over a year now, so I am not a new customer. However, our DVR has completely stopped working. We can no longer pause or rewind live TV, no matter what channel it is on. We cannot record a show. I can press record, and the red dot comes up next to the show in the guide that says it will record, and it is also on the scheduled recordings list with 35% storage space, and the show just does not record. BOTH of our DVR receivers are having this problem. We have tried resetting the boxes and that did not fix the problem. Has anyone else had this problem, or have another solution to try?

On your U-verse DVR (make sure it's the DVR not a normal STB):
Hold OK+Down Arrow
When the 3 dots come up on the screen, release Power but keep holding OK+Down Arrow
Release OK+Down when the Cog with the white line comes up. Let it do it's thing. If at any point it changes to a red X or doesnt work afterwards, call 8002882020 and get a new DVR.
Tell them you've already done a Destructive Disaster Recovery to attempt to fix.
