I don't think that this is possible but would love for AT&T to do a "file fix" where you can edit channel numbers on already set "Series Recordings." AT&T loves to change channel numbers. Last year, A&E went from 166 to 132. I had some series recordings set for "Storage Wars" on 166. Some of them still record, even though A&E is now on 132.
1. Would love a fix where Channel # is an item that can be changed.
2. Why would the U-Verse system just not auto update series recordings, when a channel move takes place. My employer (and I'm sure most do) can change everyone's FICA rate with just one click, so why not when channle #s change?
3. Why do some shows record with old channel #s (ie 166 A&E) while others don't?

All of my A&E recordings did auto update to the new channel number. I did not need to make any changes to the series recordings, Of course, mine were all HD recordings which auto updated from 1166 to 1132. I don't know why your series recordings did not.

They were SD, 166. So wonder if it just did the HD (1166/1132)?
I glanced through my series recordings and see some that do not have a channel #, in the list, such as OWN and STYLE, that would escape all channel # changes, unless OWN got switched to GREED, lol.

I had the same thing happen to me a month or so ago on CBS-NY HD (1012) & lost two weeks of the Sunday am show before I figured it out. One other poster chimed in with a similar experience on another channel.
On your channel-les records click OK to see if it shows an error message in yellow font.
These records cannot record & will not correct themselves. They need ti be deleted and new records need to be built.
