Hi everyone,
Switched from Comcast to ATT Uverse last week. Overall, pretty happy. Internet speed is alright, but the connection quality is so much better than what I had with comcast. Phone quality is phone quality. But I'm not sure what I think about the HD quality. On my XBR5 from 2009, HD quality is iffy compared to comcast. Hard to explain, but the high-speed action sports, such as basketball, are much more blurred than it was on comcast. Is this just a bandwidth problem? What can I do about it?
Thanks,
Fin

I notice considerable difference in quality between shows. Some commercials seem to me to have the best quality picture,

Me as well. Quality is for the most part exactly the same on slow moving things( was watching "Africa" on Discovery this morning, looked great), but fast action stuff is much worse than comcast did. Cable box is not very good perhaps?

You can rent the calibration discs through Netflix, or your local library if you do not have one handy, but it also helps to have the THX blue glasses, when you adjust the Contrast & Color settings on your tv.
There is some really good info on tv calibration over at avsforum.com, and someone may have some example settings for your set on their calibration forum over there.
"Ren: Now listen, Cadet. I've got a job for you. See this button? Don't touch it! It's the History Eraser button, you fool!
Stimpy: So what'll happen?
Ren: That's just it. We don't know. Maybe something bad, maybe something good. I guess we'll never know, 'cause you're going to guard it. You won't touch it, will you?"
