The last rites for my trusty ole friend, my confidant and wing'man , yep, my HTC Tilt 2, TED was held last nite. TED departed this circuit world on January 14, 2011 without a warning. It was instant, painless for TED, i suppose (I sure said a few choice words). TED shall live on in my backup files and awaiting the day when his memory shall be reunited within a new body. Please join me for a moment of cellular silence in my rollover-minute of need. Anyone else lost their 'best friend' lately? like to leave a few words for their 3rd arm?......
... Good buy TED ole buddy, you served me well... wish you could have stuck around longer.....

Yep, I seems like I am going to have to "mourn" my Mythic, too, unless a miracle happens. The touch screen stopped working

*** Sorry to hear of your pending "loss". Well, when the Mythic finally meat its maker, maybe post its memorial here and we shall share in your sorrow. You dont have to bear this burden alone. I still havent found a replacement for my TED (old tilt2), his memory card and battery are still in "LIMBO" waiting for a new body. ohhh im sad again....

Oh, I didnt know, you has my simpothies. When did'e 'give-up the bars'? was it painless? My Tilt2 went almonst instantly, The signs were there and he was doing great all day, handled business calls, conference calls, even enjoyed a few snapshots that day, then just about 11pm that night.. poof... plus symbols in the eyeballs.
TED served very well in its heyday, i really enjoyed the keyboard. Im looking foreard to a new phone with a better camera but hopefully still just as customizable as my Tilt2.
again,... im sorry for your loss.. there there,.... its gonna be awwright.

I had an older LG that was made at the transition to 3G. Was giving her a ride home from work one day when, for an unknown reason...even now, she decided to do the ultimate and jump off the Harley at speed...never saw her again....

My Mythic ('ees name was "Sam", for "Samsung"
) passed on 2/2/11. "Sam" is still here, his life on the charger, as his one last breath is hopeful. (I've tried everything to save it, but nothing will work.
) 'E sure was a great phone... Lasted my 7 1/2 months of true happiness. I guess your Tilt2 and my Mythic will someday meet together "up there", and say, "Hey... You're WB's Mythic, aren't you?!" With an excited look (in symbols, of course) on their mighty touch screens.
I think it's kind of weird that we're talking about our "phone losses", but hey, this is kinda fun... ![]()

wow, 7.5 months , such a short time . I hope they were full of memories. I at first mourned the death of WM6.0 and now looks like we will be mourning WM altogether soon. Yep, that would be nice if our two wingmen should meet up there in that big digital space. Im rooting for your samsung Mythic (SAM) to pull thru. i am sure each flicker of light as it on life support (charger) mean you have that one more minute to spend with him. Cherish it buddy, cherish it. I guess the GOOD thing out of all of this mourning, is looking forward to a NEW TOY.
But.. i shall always pay me respects every Jan to ole TED, maybe tell his granchips and great grandchips about him. haha.

Yep, that's right. I sure will. And when (more like "if") he pulls through, I will truly cherish my 'ol pal. Yep, new toys shutouts are great... It's either another one of "Sam's" brothers, or his more upscale cousin, the Captivate. By the thing that really got me was the "grandchips" and "great-grandchips" idea. That is hilarious!

Yep, I heard ole Sam had some uppidy cousins out there on the market. If you get that, let me know how you like'em.
Poor Ghostryder lost an LG a short time back. I hear it was more of a tragic ending than our phones where ours sort of passed away gracefully, hangingon to that last bar. I think his LG pulled a wildhair , sneeked off on his owner's motorcycle ending up taking a nosedive to some pavement while going 90. Tragic for sure, man. You must send him your condolences.
Here, let me send over the 'nerse' that attended to my T.E.D. that green stuff worked for a while but he just didnt pull thru that last big one.

Yep they sure are durable. I still have an old Nokia that i am sure still works. But afraid to stick my sim card in it. I know we three arent the ONLY ones whose cellphones have bit the dust recently. Maybe some will share their grief with us until we get that new phone someday. Until then, i shalll remain here in cyber-Sim-etery at the foot of TEDs headstone until i can plug his memories into a new body.

But at least I have a Captivate coming in the mail to fulfill his spot and keep me happy. "Sam" did everything he could...but unfortunately, it was not enough. He will be missed greatly, and will be used as a back-up phone as soon as his touch screen gets replaced. Oh, how 'e longs for those touches (tickles) on his screen, with a vibration response to show how he was "laughing".
But I will definitely miss my Mythic. It was by far, the best dang phone I have ever had. The one thing I will miss the most, though, is that camera flash...
Live on, 'ol "Sam"!

"Sam" left me with no last words; although, I know 'e would have said a few if he could have. He has always been treated with EXTRA care - "babied", as some people would call it.
He also left me with 29 new unread messages, 5 new voicemails, and 6 missed calls - all with no way to access them. What's worse, I have no way to get to my contacts, which were saved in 'ee's memory...
