Oh man...supposed to go to Baltimore MD this weekend...with this hurricane on it's way, I'm really considering staying HOME!!

I'd play it safe Dcookie and not go. But if you are determined to go track Irene as closely as possible, and if you make to Baltimore pick me up some crab cakes
LOL!! Don't think we are going to go. Hoping that they actually cancel this bustrip so we don't lose our money but if I have to, I'll lose it. I'd rather be alive than dead.

Well....if we DON'T go to Inner Harbor, then we plan on going to a GREAT seafood place here, my boy wants Lobster. I guess I could bring some crabcakes for you..they have GOOD ones...NO FILLERS!!! 
Another update at 6 pm...to see if THEY cancel this trip. I SURE hope so..so we don't lose our MONEY!!
No concert...just to go somewhere overnight since we really didn't do anything all summer...just me, my sister and my son. Looks like they're PROBABLY going to cancel it anyway since they declared a state of emergency in MD. That's ok with me. We can go another time and I'd rather be ALIVE than DEAD!!

Thanks Dcookie, but early reports are mentioning that it may just be West of us, but it's early so anything can change. And I'd rather have you alive than dead as well, you are my forum music buddy

Awww..thanks Razr8. So far, when we checked the update at 6, it's STILL not cancelled. Guess we'll have to wait til tomorrow and see if we lose our $ or not. Oh well..... Yes, it is still too early to tell the exact way this will go...anything could happen.
No..I was there once before. We saw The Titanic Exhibit the last time..THAT was COOL!! So, we thought we'd see something this time that we didn't get to see the last time....Fells Point, Fort McHenry and stuff like that. We'll get there eventually.
If it were me, DCookie, I wouldn't travel this weekend. It's likely that the power will be out for at least part of it. I'm sure most places will start to close up Saturday evening and may remain closed throughout Sunday. With nothing to do, and possibly no power in your hotel (if you were staying at one), you probably wouldn't enjoy all that my state has to offer.

Thanks 21 stNow...we decided to NOT go..not with the hurricane coming that way. I saw on the Weather Channel, that Saturday and Saturday night is supposed to be the worst for it there and we would be driving right into it. We will go another time and YES, it was an overnighter. That's all I would need is to get stranded!! Of course, I wouldn't mind missing a day or two of work.

Do you like New Orleans style food? Copeland's is in Columbia, MD, about 12 miles southwest of Baltimore. You have to like your food spicy to eat there, but it's good to me. My favorite dish is the Shrimp Ducky.
LOL!! I like any kind of food. Yes, there is a Phillips in Inner Harbor. I'll have to remember these places when I get there.
Can you believe the trip was NOT CANCELLED?? They did give us the option to use part of our money for another trip with them but we lost the money for the hotel. Well, I think our lives are worth that much anyway. At least we didn't lose all of it.
