Been working the late shift all week which is why I have been quiet. Between school and work, not much time for...anything else. Luckily it has been quiet tonight (knock on wood) so it has been nice.

Well....actually....believe it or not it IS corked. Not a screw cap. Really...it is respectible wine. Got pretty good reviews in the Kansas City Star. Believe it or not I never touched the stuff until after my triple bypass surgery back in '91. The cardiologist recommended a glass or two per day......but no more. Thankfully I don't have the gene that makes me want more. Took me quite a while to learn to like it.
Still can't stomach the hard stuff.
I find I handle some of the questions we get on this forum better after a glass or two.![]()

Same here, but my vice of choice are drugs, since I can't drink. ![]()
Actually, when I was younger and could drink, when I could afford it, my choice was Canadian Club. When I couldn't, it was Boone's Farm! ![]()

A: She saw "911" on the back and thought it was a Porsche.
Q: Why didn't the blonde want a window seat on the plane?
A: She'd just blow dried her hair and she didn't want it blown around too much.
Q: Why did the blonde stop using the pill?
A: Because it kept falling out.
Q: Why did the blonde get so excited after she finished her jigsaw puzzle in only 6 months?
A: Because on the box it said From 2-4 years.

When my Dad was living his choice was always Canadian Club, but I think it's because he sold it for like 30 years LOL!

Sagittarius (11/22-12/21)Rush around today, and you could be cheating yourself out of some very pleasant experiences. Don't think that all of your errands are boring things you need to get out of the way in order to move on to more fun and relaxing things -- think of each of them as opportunities for adventure. So slow down and take your time. The dry cleaners, grocery store, or dental office might not usually be the most interesting place on earth, but today ... who knows ?
whomever writes these is hard up for reality and new stuff lol
dental office fun ??? the writer is nuts ![]()

Hey....we finally got ours in October.
Y'all been reading my comments about our full-time RVing life........16+ years living and traveling in a motorhome. Here was our last rig....a 37 ft. long diesel pusher by Holiday Rambler. Sure hated giving it up. Got Gypsy in my soul.
ALSO: PIP.....in another thread (which I can't relocate right now)....you told a poster that the DVR did not come free with U-100....if I read it correctly. I tried to go to the U-verse home site but it appears to be down for maintenence or something. Anyway....why do I ask? Well.....my wife's sister and her husband have decided to switch from Comcast to U-verse and he has ordered U-100. If you're sure about that I'll need to warn him so that he can upgrade to U-200 from the get-go. I'm going to be with them for lunch on Monday so that is why I'm asking you. I sure hope they get the same high quality reception and HD picture quality that we do. They have the same Sony 55" SXRD HD TV that we have. If AT&T doesn't get it right....guess whose gonna catch h---.![]()

I'm sure.

They are better off with the U200, IMO, unless, they don't DVR a lot of stuff. ![]()

Thanks, Pip. I'll be seeing them tomorrow and I'll inform him he needs to upgrade to at least the U-200. They WILL want the DVR. I appreciate the assistance.

The DH had an appt with a retina specialt for his eye problem he developed last August. So, when he got a notice about 2 weeks ago that the appt for March 16th had been cancelled, and to please reschedule, I called and rescheduled. Was kind of glad, since we got an earlier appt and in the morning instead of the afternoon.
Yep, you got it.....2nd cancellation letter in the mail today. I called the office, not the main scheduling center and said do NOT tell me to call them this time. She knew I was not happy, so she rescheduled the appt again, for March 5th at 9AM and put on note on there...do NOT cancel. Will be 3rd time.
And they wonder why we hardly use any of the doctors thru this particluar hospital system. (UH)

Pip.....I'd be pretty disgusted also. Sounds like the same experience some folks have getting their U-vers installed.
By the way......my wife's brother-in-law decided to upgrade to U-200 right from the get-go when he has his UV installed in February. That way the DVR will be included. They have also opted for voice so they'll have the whole package. I sure am hoping all goes well.

Phil, I am so digusted because this issue only seems to happen with the eye doctors. We have had it happen before with our regular doctor, but only once and because of illness, but we understood that.
Plus, we can either go to the main hospital campus, (NO THANKS!!! It's a zoo driving in that area and finding a place to park!) or to this office, which is further than where we usually go for our yearly appt.
The problem is, the office we go to yearly, doesn't have the equipment needed....yet. Our regular eye doctor said they might get it there sometime this year.
I am not fond of playing tag with this doctor, but to start over with a new doctor, makes less sense, so we will keep our fingers crossed and hope that in 2 weeks, we dont get another letter from them.
Trust me, if we do, I will not need the phone to call them. They will hear me quite well from 20 miles away! ![]()
Glad to hear the BIL decided to go with U200 from the start. It just seems that adding/deleting stuff afterwards, leads to others problems...sometimes. ![]()
