Like you said though, how many aactually remember Gale Storm?
I certainly hope this is the 3rd so we can get a little break from all this bad news.

I still think we already had more than 3, so I hope it's over with as well. I barely remember Gale Storm, but I've known of her.

I remember her mostly as a singer, *I Hear You Knocking (But You Can't Come In)*. Used to play it a lot as it was in my folks' record collection.
She was another TX gal and I swear she was in Houston for a while.
Just for kicks, I opened iTunes and surprised they have her there...they have it as Jazz...was Pop, LOL!

Remember her from "My Little Margie" having grown up w/the advent of Television, also from her short singing career cut short by alcohol. ![]()

I had no idea the voice behind those songs belonged to the actress that played My Little Margie although I was only 3 I remember the re-runs years
later and definetly the songs back when KILT AM was called Boss Radio.

Since I was in high school 1950 - 1954 I remember her very well. "My Little Margie" was a favorite in our family. We had just gotten TV service in the Wichita, Kansas area the summer of 1953.
It's during these periods of losses of folks whose names we knew....whose art we appreciated.....and when loved ones who guided us through those growing-up years pass on that we seniors begin to feel isolated. The popular musical artists and performers loved by so many of you younger folks have absolutely no attraction to old codgers like me. Now....when Stan Kenton or Eugene Ormand died.....or Red Skelton & Jack Benny passed away......THOSE were REAL losses that we felt. But Michael Jackson? Pffffft. If I were 40 years younger I might care more. But that's just the way life goes. Always been that way.....always will I guess.
A Veteran – whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve – is someone who, at a one point in his/her life, wrote a blank check made payable to ‘The United States of America’, for an amount of “up to and including his/her life.” ...Author Unknown

Another reason to call your folks and give them a hug when ever possible because the day will come when you want to and they are gone.
Cherish the moments you have with your family I do and still miss my father and he has been gone 5 years.
