You shouldn't need a disk for anything to connect to uverse internet. Either connect wirelessly using the password on the modem/RG or plug into the router and you should be good to go!!

"Ren: Now listen, Cadet. I've got a job for you. See this button? Don't touch it! It's the History Eraser button, you fool!
Stimpy: So what'll happen?
Ren: That's just it. We don't know. Maybe something bad, maybe something good. I guess we'll never know, 'cause you're going to guard it. You won't touch it, will you?"

If you are connecting wireless, on your new computer have it locate wireless networks. When it sees your select it and then select connect. The wireless password is located on the RG. Enter it and your computer should connect. If it is wired, then plug the cable into your computer and into the RG and if necessary follow the prompts.

As long as you have the correct SSID & Passphrase if connecting through WiFi, or know that the ethernet jack is wired properly and connected to the RG, it should work.
