I recently switch to u-verse and had to start using the router that they provided, the i38HG. Previously I was using a Linksys-N speed router which had a better range, stronger signal, etc.
Would it be possible to somehow use the Linksys router again or is there anyway to "boost" the i38HG so I can get a faster connection?
I tried searching around for an answer but I am not as tech-savy as I use to be and the new u-verse system further confused me.
Thanks for reading!

You could do as fin1211 suggested, or you could just do what I did. I went into my Linksys reouter config and turned off the DHCP server. I also set the wireless SSID, etc. and I gave my Linksys a static IP address in the subnet, but not in the DHCP range of the 2-Wire RG. Next, I took a standard ethernet cable and connected one of the LAN ports on my Linksys to one of the LAN ports on my RG (note that I left the WAN port on the Linksys open. Now, I setup my Linksys in a different room (using the same SSID and wireless security settings as my RG) and I use both wireless access points on my network. You could turn off the woreless on your 2-Wire RG if your Linksys was close enough and you didn't want the possibility of connecting to it.
By using the LAN port on your Linksys with the DHCP turned off, you are just using the Linksys as a switch with a built in WAP. It works nicely for me, with the Linksys being on the second floor in the NE corner of the house, and my 2-Wire RG being in my basement ner the SW corner of my house. I have good coverage throughout my entire house, and yard. When I connect to the RG I am limitied to 802.11G, but when I connect to the Linksys, I can get 802.11n speeds.

"Ren: Now listen, Cadet. I've got a job for you. See this button? Don't touch it! It's the History Eraser button, you fool!
Stimpy: So what'll happen?
Ren: That's just it. We don't know. Maybe something bad, maybe something good. I guess we'll never know, 'cause you're going to guard it. You won't touch it, will you?"
