My girlfriend has a Toshiba LX835-D3220 23.0-Inch All in one Desktop working under 18mb U-verse wireless environement , they have 3 PCs at home.
One of them connect to all-in-one moden router directly, the other two shares wireless (including the all-in-one toshiba)
The modem router is downstair, and my girlfriend's room is upstair
The problem is, if no other is using internet at home, the all-in-one desktop having 5mb Download speed.
If someone is using internet, the all-on-one desktop only having 3mb or under 1 mb downlaod speed.
They have the ATT guys come over to check everything, and tell my gf everything is fine, should the the PCs's problem
Funny thing is...I took that particular desktop to my home. Timewarner 20MB cable with separate router and modem
It's 20Mb full speed if one the all-in-one toshiba using wireless internet, and at least 10 Mb if two PC using wireless
I call back AT&T, told them this situation. AT&T said and insist there is virus in the all in one desktop
Just wondering, anyone suffering the same situation?

Does the other wireless computer at your gf's house suffer the same problem as the AIO computer?
Have you brought another wireless computer to your gf's house to see if it has the same problem?
Your gf's modem/gateway might be sufferring from wireless interference. See this thread for tips.http://forums.att.com/t5/Features-and-How-To/How-t
Are there any very old wireless devices in your gf's house? If there are any "B" wireless devices connecting to her modem/gateway (or within wireless range) it will drag the speed down for all devices on wireless.

Save here. My U-verse speed has been dropping since we installed it this summer. We are now down to less than 2mb down and less than 1mb up with Ping times above 100.
I took off work to meet the service guy here between 12 and 4 but he was a no show and the website still shows him as being "On Time". Ha Ha.
So far, not very happy with U-verse. Thinking about going back to my old company or cable.
