House Hold Phone Wiring Issues

I'm not sure What to do but I knew this was coming. The tech that ran the RG to NID did a good job but I don't think they grasped the houses wiring config and it might be an Issue. the wiring ran to 9 location's Only 3 devices are used now but the tech tapped the main house line the RG has to power up the 7 lines not in use and this is where my mess begains. I start messing with it just looking and the RG goes down so I know I found my big problem.

Yeah I plugged my base to my newer phones into the RG leaving the line connection unhooked since I use the base and handsets mostly till I get the rest straight.
