Great Install in Greensboro, NC

My install went GREAT today, all things considered -- apart from not having internet access for about 1.5 hours (moved my outside connection over to the U-verse circuit).  Professional, fast, knowledgeable, and even got me voice with a temporary number while we wait for my old number to be portable (advice - if you have a number with a Ringmaster or Distinctive Ring number, have it disconnected YOURSELF before you are supposed to port).

A little disappointed that I can't DVR two HD shows at the same time, but I'll get over it...maybe they'll work it out soon.

Right now I'm a pretty satisfied customer.

I gather you are on a lower profile now as to why you can't get more than 2HD?

If you will install SomeJoe's Uverse Realtime, he or someone can take a look.

Post screenshots of the IP/Profile tab and the Bitloading tab.

I was told it was a "bug" by a U-verse technician.  But anyway here goes.  Can you even read it?

No, not yet, it has to be approved by the Mod.  Give it a little while.

edit--OK, can see them now.  You're on the 32/5 profile (green numbers), that's good.  And not far from the VRAD, 1000 ft. (est.); so I don't know why they said you couldn't have more than 2 HD.

On your DVR, go to the following screen:

Menu -> Options -> System Options -> System Information -> System Resources

What do you see listed for the following?

WAN Profile:

Ingress Profile:

Egress Profile:

Post back with this information.

Do a soft reboot of your DVR & STB's by holding down the power button for 5 seconds.  After the boxes reboot, check your profile again to see if the above information changes.

You are on the wrong video profile.  You have the 32/5 profile which should support 3 HD streams.  Call Technical Support and request that you be upgraded.

I also just noticed I'm not getting anything in DD 5.1, even though I have an optical cable from my DVR STB into my Bose system (worked for HD channels when I had Dish).   Under my Menu-->Options, I only have System Options, Channel Options, Parental locking and Restart. 

Suggestions?  Thanks.

Spd is correct.  You are on the correct 32/5 bandwidth profile, but that is not the same as the video profile for your DVR and STB's.  Tell the Tech Support person that you want to be upgraded to the 3 HD profile.

For Surround Sound, you should have an Audio/Language Options menu item under Options.  If you do not see that menu item, also mention that to the U-verse Tech Support person.

Hey what area are you in...in Greensboro?  I've kept my eye out to see if its available where I'm at (guilford college rd/west market area) and it hasnt come up yet.  I saw the news story its in guilford county now...just curious as to where.

Long story longer I spent the better part of an hour on the phone with a Tier 2 guy out of Texas who could not provision 3 HD/1 SD for me even with the 32/5 profile, nor could he figure out why I didn't have the menu prompt to activate Surround Sound, so he opened a case.

Phil, I'm out in the Lake Jeanette area...this may be the first part of town to get it but others will be coming up soon.

Hey, where exactly in the LJ area?  I'm up on North Church about a mile past Old Lake Jeannette Rd and I'm anxiously waiting for U-Verse.  I've tried calling a couple times (months ago) and they make it sound like we should be setup anytime now.  I'm just trying to figure out how much longer it will take to get up here!
