microSD for Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5
I recently purchased a Galaxy Tab S 10.5, and I noticed there are several formats/types of microSD cards available. Which type can I use to upgrade/expand the memory on my Galaxy Tab S 10.5? Thanks!

Any microSD (including HC and XC) should work just fine. The Tab S 10.5 (currently) supports up to 128GB, which is currently the largest commercially available microSD card, as far as I know. Any other details about the card are probably related to read/write speeds, and this isn't SUPER important for something just being used in a tablet, as these stats are more focused toward professional digital photographers. I will say make sure you get a microSD card, and not a regular one, as it won't fit in your device, and try to get it from a trusted manufacturer (SanDisk, Kingston, a few others).

I should add that the microSD will need to be formatted as exFAT, but any microSD card can be formatted this way, it is merely how the files are laid out on the device, and can be changed at any time, though it will require a full erase.

Best Buy had a great price for cards made specifically to be compatible with your Samsung device.
There is no reason to buy the Pro version.

Do not buy PNY or other brand SD cards. They constantly have errors.

Like I said before, all microSD cards are compatible. Some might be a bit faster to read/write, but they will all work. Samsung is definitely a trusted manufacturer when it comes to flash memory applications, but to say that no other manfacturer should be trusted is simply not true. Even PNY is a pretty middle of the road brand, I've had a PNY full size SD card for years and it still works just fine, it just isn't super high performance.
Your post is also misleading, in that all forms of NAND flash memory consistently have errors, which is why they implement error correcting code and wear levelling. Errors are inherent in any form of data storage, and especially in NAND flash. This paper has a good explanation.

Fortunately, I found the Samsung 64GB microSD on Amazon for $34.29, and that's in the ballpark as far as price goes, so I will probably pick that one up.
